Blackburnian Warblers and other Neotropical Migrants at Point Pelee

Had a great afternoon at Pelee today. The footpaths along the east side of the tip gave amazing views of warblers this afternoon. Magnolia, Blackburnian, and Chestnut sided along with others were foraging at eye level along the pathways. At times, you might have two Blackburnian warblers, and a Magnolia in the same small tree... amazing.

Happy Mother's Day to all those mama's out there...
Good birding!

  2. That was incredible yesterday! I couldn't believe how close and low some of them were.
Did you catch the Blackpoll just before the washrooms at the Tip heading north? That was the 1st of season for me along with the Red-eyed Vireo. The RE Vireo looked so awesome in that light we had yesterday.
Great photos, Dwayne! You looked like you were having fun, that's for sure. :)

  3. WOW! All but one, the rest of the beautiful bird shots you got there would be lifers for me. :) The Warbling Vireo with the ladybug is a stunning shot!

  4. Wonderful shots. I am so envious of all the warblers. I don't get many in my part of the Sask. prairies!
