Moths

(Note: this page is a work in progress)

If one butterfly watches during the day - then one must engage in mothing during the evenings. The biodiversity in the moth world is excellent!   Around the year 2016 - I was fortunate to befriend a local moth expert in Windsor Ontario - who was particularly interested in the underwing moth family.

I recommend the Peterson Field Guide to Moths of Northeastern North America (or the region you are in).

This page is a work in progress. I will try to pick out the low hanging fruit - the most obvious species. I will also attempt to identify different families of moths and eventually fill out each family as I cross paths with them.
